The Castro Valley School District is currently grappling with substantial funding cuts from the State of California. In addition, it appears that substantial additional cuts may be made by the state in the near future. As described elsewhere on this website, this has already resulted in many important educational programs being substantially reduced or eliminated across all schools in the district. 
 
$1 per day, per student will help reduce the effects of these cuts on the quality of our schools in Castro Valley.  If the Castro Valley community raised just $365 for each student in the district, we could restore over $3.2 million in funding to the district. We need your help.

SOSCV! has raised over $55,000 since we started our effort at the beginning of May 2009, counting in-kind donations of services as well as cash donations. Our 204 donors thus far have averaged just over $280 each. Let’s keep up the great response Castro Valley!
